Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. ԱՐԱՄ Ա. ԿԱԹՈՂԻԿՈՍ ՀԱՆԴԻՊՈՒՄ ՈՒՆԵՑԱՒ ԳԱՆԱՏԱՅԻ ՎԱՐՉԱՊԵՏ ՄԱՐՔ ԳԱՐՆԻԻ ՀԵՏ

Երեքշաբթի, 21 Հոկտեմբեր 2025-ին, Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Վեհափառ Հայրապետը ջերմօրէն ընդունուեցաւ Գանատայի վարչապետ Մարք Քարնիի կողմէ եւ շուրջ մէկ ժամ տեւողութեամբ հանդիպում կայացաւ իր ու վարչապետին միջեւ՝ մայրաքաղաք Օթաուայի մէջ:

Հանդիպման ընթացքին տեղի ունեցած խօսակցութիւնը ընդգրկեց հետեւեալ մարզերը.- Լիբանան, Սուրիա, Միջին Արեւելք, Հայաստան, Պաղեստին ու Կազա: Յիշեալ մարզերուն առնչուած Վեհափառ Հայրապետը պարզեց իր մօտեցումներն ու մտահոգութիւնները՝ ընդառաջելով վարչապետի փափաքին:

Նորին Սրբութեան կողմէ յատուկ կերպով արծարծուեցաւ Արցախի ու Պաքուի բանտերուն մէջ ապօրէն կերպով բանտարկուած Արցախի ղեկավարութեան հարցը: Վեհափառ Հայրապետը առաջարկեց Գանատայի վարչապետին, որ յատուկ աշխատանք տանի քաղաքական բանտարկեալներուն շուտափոյթ ազատ արձակման, Արցախի ժողովուրդի վերադարձի ու ինքնիշխանութեան իրաւունքի վերահաստատման եւ Արցախի կրօնական-մշակութային կոթողներու պահպանման գծով:

Յիշեալ հանդիպումին Վեհափառ Հայրապետի կողքին ներկայ էին Գանատայի Հայոց Թեմի առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Բաբգէն Արք. Չարեան, Գանատայի հայ դատի գրասենեակի ատենապետ Խորէն Տիմիթեան, հայ դատի համահայկական յանձնախումբի եւ Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիոյ Կաթողիկոսութեան Ազգային Ընդհանուր Ժողովի պատգամաւոր Ռաֆֆի Տօնապետեան:

HIS HOLINESS CATHOLICOS ARAM I MEETS WITH CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER MARK CARNEY

Ottawa, October 21, 2025 — His Holiness Catholicos Aram I was warmly received by the Right Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, for a private meeting that lasted approximately one hour at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ottawa.

The conversation between the Prime Minister and His Holiness addressed several pressing international and regional concerns, including the situations in Lebanon, Syria, the Middle East, Armenia, Gaza, and the Palestinian territories. His Holiness shared his perspectives and concerns regarding these issues, emphasizing the need for justice, peace, and humanitarian responsibility.

A central focus of the meeting was the ongoing detention of the leadership of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in Baku. His Holiness appealed to the Prime Minister to take concrete steps toward:

• The immediate release of the illegally detained political prisoners.
• The safe return of the displaced people of Artsakh and the restoration of their right to self-determination.
• The preservation and protection of Artsakh’s religious and cultural heritage.

Accompanying His Holiness at the meeting were Archbishop Papken Tcharian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada; Mr. Khoren Dimitian, Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of Canada (ANCC); and Mr. Raffi Donabedian, Board Member of the Armenian National Committee International and World Delegate of the Armenian Church of Cilicia.
