St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church Parish Priests and the Board of Trustees of Toronto
encourage and support students in pursuing higher education. The church believes that our
investment in future leaders will ensure a stronger community and active involvement of youth
in our church. For this purpose, the church has established the University Scholarship-Award Program,
starting in 2024.

SCHOLARSHIP-AWARD APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

  1. Applicant must be of Armenian descent, living in the Province of Ontario, and is a Canadian
    Citizen or has Permanent Residency.
  2. Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate program of any field of study, at a
    University/College in Ontario, as a student in second year or higher.
  3. Scholarships are based on Grades (GPA 3.0 and above), merit and involvement in St. Mary
    Armenian Church and/or the Armenian Community in Toronto.
  4. Amount of each Scholarship-Award is $1000.00

Applicant must complete the attached Application Form, including questions and short
essays, and provide the following requested documents:

  1. Proof of enrollment at a University/College in Ontario.
  2. Transcript of Records (grades) from your most recent completed year of studies
    (University/College).
  3. Two (2) letters of recommendation (One from the post-secondary institution that you
    attended, and second, from an Armenian community organization that you are actively
    involved in).
