Կիրակի, 21 Սեպտեմբեր 2025-ին, Թորոնթոյի Սուրբ Աստուածածին եկեղեցւոյ մէջ մեծ շուքով նշուեցաւ Արժանապատիւ Տ. Տաթեւ Աւագ Քհնյ. Միքայէլեանի քահանայական ձեռնադրութեան եւ օծման 40-ամեակը։ Այս յոբելենական առիթով Արժանապատիւ Տէր Հայրը մատուցեց Սուրբ եւ անմահ Պատարագը եւ քարոզեց յաւուր պատշաճի։
Իր խօսքին սկիզբը փառք եւ գոհութիւն մատուցեց Երկնաւոր Հօր, որ իրեն արժանի գտած էր քահանայական ձեռնադրութեան 40-ամեակի պատարագը մատուցելու։ Նաեւ շնորհակալութիւն յայտնեց Գանատայի Հայոց Թեմի Առաջնորդին՝ Գերշ. Տ. Բաբգէն Ս. Արք. Չարեանին, որ Սուրբ Աստուածածնայ տօնին առիթով օրհնութեան գիրով մը պատուած էր զինք այս առթիւ։
Տէր Հայրը իր երախտագիտութիւնը յայտնեց եկեղեցւոյ Հոգեւոր Տեսուչին, Հոգաբարձութեան, Սարկաւագաց դասին եւ բոլոր կամաւորներուն, որոնք նեցուկ են իրեն եւ բարոյական մասնակցութեամբ պատուեցին յոբելենական այս յիշատակութիւնը։
Յուզումով Տէր Հայրը վերյիշեց Հալէպի հնադարեան Սուրբ Քառասնից Մանկանց եկեղեցւոյ մէջ իր ձեռնադրութեան պահը եւ իր սրտին մէջ աղօթք դարձուցած Սաղմոսը, որ կ՛ըսէ «Ո՜վ Տէր, քեզի՛ ապաւինեցայ, թող ամօթով չմնա՛մ բնաւ»։ Իսկ քարոզին համար իբրեւ բնաբան ընտրած էր իր անդրանիկ քարոզի բնաբանը՝ «Ձեր հարստութիւնը ո՛ւր որ է, հոն կ՛ըլլայ նաեւ ձեր սիրտը» (Մտթ. 6.21)։
Պատարագի աւարտին բարձրացուեցաւ աղօթք Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան վերանկախութեան համար, եւ օրհնուեցաւ եռագոյն դրօշը։
Այնուհետեւ եկեղեցականները եւ հաւատացեալ ժողովուրդը ուղղուեցան կեդրոնի սրահը, ուր եկեղեցւոյ Հոգեւոր Տեսուչ՝ Գերպ. Տ. Գարեգին Ծ. Վրդ. Շխրտմեան, իր սրտի խօսքը ուղղեց Տէր Հօր եւ Հոգաբարձութեան հետ միասին լանջախաչ մը յանձնեց՝ ի նշան սիրոյ եւ երախտագիտութիւն։
Այնուհետեւ եկեղեցւոյ ատենապետ՝ Տիար Կարօ Սրկ. Սարգիսեան, կարդաց Տէր Հօր կենսագրականը։ Հանդիսութեան ընթացքին երաժշտական ելոյթներով ներկայացան Տիար Ռազմիկ Սրկ. Պէպէճեան, Տիկին Անոյշ Գալստեան եւ Տիկին Ռուբինա Քէօշկէրեան։
Աւարտին Տէր Հայրը իր սրտաբուխ խօսքերով եւ աղօթքով փակեց հանդիսութիւնը եւ օրհնեց ճաշասեղանը։
CELEBRATION OF THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PRIESTLY ORDINATION AND SERVICE OF ARCHPRIEST REVEREND FATHER DATEV MIKAYELIAN
On Sunday, September 21st, 2025, at St. Mary Armenian Church, the 40th anniversary of the ordination and consecration of the Arch. Rev. Fr. Datev Mikayelian was celebrated. On this jubilee occasion, the Reverend Father celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered the homily befitting the day.
At the beginning of his sermon, he gave glory and thanks to God, who had found him worthy to celebrate the Divine Liturgy on the 40th anniversary of his priestly ordination. He also expressed his gratitude to His Eminence Archbishop Papken Tcharian Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada, who, on the Feast of the Assumption of St. Mary, had honored him with an encyclical from the prelacy.
Thereafter, the Reverend Father extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Church’s Dean, the Board of Trustees, the Deacons, and all the volunteers who support him and, through their moral presence had dignified and honored this jubilee commemoration.
After, the Reverend Father recalled the moment of his ordination in the long-standing Church of the Forty Martyrs in Aleppo, and the Psalm he had prayed in his heart: “In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed.” (Psalm 31:1)
For his homily, he chose the same scriptural motto as in his very first sermon; “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21).
During the Divine Liturgy, prayers were offered for the re-independence of the Republic of Armenia, and the tricolor flag of the Republic was blessed. Afterward, the clergy and faithful proceeded to the ACC hall, where the Church’s Dean Archimandrite Rev. Fr. Karekin Shkherdemian offered heartfelt remarks and, together with the Board of Trustees, presented a pectoral cross fashioned in the traditional Armenian style to the Reverend Father as a token of love and gratitude
Following this, the chairman of the Board Deacon Garo Sarkissian read the Reverend Father’s biography. The celebration was further enriched by musical performances from Dr. Razmik Bebedjian, Ms. Anoush Galsdyan, and Mrs. Rubina Keoshkerian.
