Ս. Աստուածածին Եկեղեցւոյ հոգաբարձութեան տնօրինութեամբ եւ հոգեւոր հայրերուն օրհնութեամբ, շուրջ վեց ամիսէ իվեր մեր եկեղեցւոյ կամաւորները, նախօրօք առնուած ժամադրութեամբ, կ’այցելեն հայ երէցներու՝ իրենց տուները, ուր, ժամ մը ամբողջ հաճելի եւ ուրախ պահեր կ’անցընեն անոնց հետ, շարականներ երգելով, աղօթելով, լսելով զիրենք ու հետաքրքրուելով անոնց որպիսութեամբ ու առողջութեամբ:
Այս ծրագիրը շարունակական է եւ կը միտի սերտ կապ ստեղծել եկեղեցւոյ եւ հայ մամիկներուն եւ պապիկներուն հետ, որոնք յաճախ տարիքի եւ կամ առողջական պատճառներով չեն կրնար եկեղեցի այցելել եւ կարօտը ունին ընկերակիցի, այցելուի եւ կամ խօսակիցի մը: Անոնցմէ շատեր, տարիներով ծառայած են նաեւ Թորոնթոհայ գաղութին, մաս կազմած անոր վերելքին եւ իրենց լուման ձգած անոր յառաջդիմութեան: Եկեղեցին, իր կարգին, կու գայ իր երախտագիտութիւնը յայտնելու անոնց, իրենց ծառայութեան համար, ըսելու որ մենք ձեր կողքին ենք:
Under the direction of the Parish Council of St. Mary Armenian Church, and with the blessings of the spiritual fathers, our church volunteers have, for the past six months, been making scheduled visits to the homes of Armenian elders.
These visits provide an hour of joyful fellowship — sharing hymns, offering prayers, listening with care, and showing genuine concern for their well-being and health.
This ongoing program seeks to strengthen the bond between the Church and our beloved grandmothers and grandfathers, many of whom, due to age or health limitations, are unable to attend church services and deeply miss the presence of companionship, a visitor, or a conversation partner. Many among them have devoted years of faithful service to the Armenian community of Toronto, contributing to its growth and progress. Today, the Church comes to them in gratitude, to honor their service, and to remind them: You are not forgotten — we stand beside you.
