Երկուշաբթի, 25 Մայիս 2026-ի երեկոյեան ժամը 5։00-ին, կազմակերպութեամբ Օնթարիոյի խորհրդարանի անդամ՝ հայազգի զաւակ Տիար Արիս Պապիկեանի, Օնթարիոյ նահանգին մէջ չորրորդ անգամ ըլլալով նշուեցաւ «Հայ Ժառանգութեան Ամիս»ը, ուր կ’արժեւորուի եւ կը նշուի երկրէն ներս հայ համայնքի հարուստ պատմութիւնը, մշակոյթն ու ներդրումը։
Գլխաւորութեամբ Գանատայի Հայոց Թեմի Բարեջան Առաջնորդ՝ Գերշ. Տ. Բաբգէն Արք. Չարեանի, Սուրբ Աստուածածին եկեղեցւոյ Հոգեւոր Տեսուչն ու Հոգեւոր Հովիւը, Հոգաբարձութիւնն ու Ազգային Երեսփոխանները ներկայացնող անհատներ ներկայ եղան սոյն ձեռնարկին։
Հաւաքին ներկայ էին Օնթարիոյ Նահանգապետ՝ Տակ Ֆորտը, Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան Դեսպան՝ Տիկ. Անահիտ Յարութիւնեանը, դեսպաններ, հիւպատոսներ, նախարարներ եւ նահանգային խորհրդարանի անդամներ, օտար հիւրեր եւ Հայ միութիւններու, յարանուանութիւններու եւ մարմիններու ներկայացուցիչներ։
Armenian Heritage Month Celebrated at Queen’s Park, Ontario
On Monday, May 25, 2026, the Armenian community of Ontario gathered at Queen’s Park for the fourth annual celebration of Armenian Heritage Month in the Province of Ontario. The event was organized by Aris Babikian, Member of Provincial Parliament for Scarborough—Agincourt, and served as a meaningful occasion to honor and recognize the rich history, vibrant culture, and invaluable contributions of the Armenian community in Canada.
The celebration was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Papken Tcharian, who joined the gathering together with clergy, representatives of Armenian churches and organizations, community leaders, and members of the Armenian faithful.
Among the distinguished guests present were Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario; Her Excellency Anahit Haroutunyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada; ministers of the Province of Ontario; Members of Provincial Parliament; ambassadors and consuls; representatives of various ethnic communities; and delegates from Armenian religious, cultural, and charitable organizations.
During the evening, speakers highlighted the enduring presence and achievements of the Armenian people in Ontario and across Canada, emphasizing the importance of preserving Armenian heritage, faith, language, and traditions for future generations. The event also reflected the spirit of multiculturalism and mutual respect that characterizes the Province of Ontario and Canadian society as a whole.
The Armenian Heritage Month celebration once again reaffirmed the unity and vitality of the Armenian community and its continuing commitment to contributing positively to the social, cultural, and spiritual life of Canada.
