Երեքշաբթի, 6 Յունուար 2026-ին, Թորոնթոյի Սուրբ Աստուածածին Հայաստանեայց Առաքելական եկեղեցւոյ մէջ, ժամերգութեամբ եւ հանդիսաւոր Սուրբ եւ Անմահ Պատարագով նշուեցաւ մեր Տիրոջ եւ Փրկչին Յիսուս Քրիստոսի Սուրբ Ծննդեան եւ Աստուածայայտնութեան տօնը։
Սուրբ Պատարագը մատուցեց եւ տօնին առիթով քարոզեց Գանատայի Հայոց Թեմի Առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Բաբգէն Սրբազան Արքեպիսկոպոս Չարեան։ Սուրբ խորանին սպասարկեցին եկեղեցւոյ հոգեւոր Հայրերը, սարկաւագներն ու դպիրները, իսկ պատարագի երգեցողութիւնը կատարեց «Զարեհ Ազնաւորեան» Դպրաց Դասը՝ ղեկավարութեամբ տիկին Անուշ Գալուստեանի։ Սրբազան արարողութիւնը տեղի ունեցաւ հաւատացեալներու խուռն մասնակցութեամբ։
Սուրբ Պատարագի աւարտին կատարուեցաւ սրբալոյս միւռոնով Ջրօրհնէքի արարողութիւնը՝ ի յիշատակ մեր Տէր Յիսուս Քրիստոսի Սուրբ Մկրտութեան։ Ջրօրհնէքի կնքահայրներն էին՝ Յովհաննէս Պէպէճեան, Շանթ Թէլեան եւ Երեմիա Գէորգեան։
Սուրբ եւ Անմահ Պատարագին ներկայ գտնուեցան Ազգային Առաջնորդարանի Քրիստոնէական Դաստիարակութեան Վարիչ՝ Հոգշ. Տ. Յակոբ Վրդ. Եագուպեան, Ազգային Վարչութեան Ատենապետ՝ տիկին Ծովիկ Թէրզեան, ինչպէս նաեւ եկեղեցւոյ Ազգային Վարչութեան ներկայացուցիչներ եւ երեսփոխաններ։
Ներկայ էին նաեւ Հայ Կաթողիկէ Համայնքի հոգեւոր հովիւ` Տ. Հայկ Քահանայ Շահինեան եւ քաղաքական դէմքեր՝ նախարար Սթիվըն Լեչչէ, երեսփոխաններ Արիս Պապիկեան եւ Ճոնաթըն Ցաօ։
Պատարագի աւարտին անոնք իրենց սրտի խօսքը փոխանցեցին եւ շնորհաւորեցին Հայ Համայնքը Սուրբ Ծննդեան եւ Աստուածայայտնութեան տօնին առիթով։
Թող Սուրբ Ծննդեան եւ Աստուածայայտնութեան աստուածային լոյսը միշտ լուսաւորէ մեր հոգիները, զօրացնէ մեր հաւատքը եւ առաջնորդէ մեր համայնքային ու ազգային կեանքը՝ դէպի սիրոյ, խաղաղութեան եւ հոգեւոր նորոգութեան ուղին։
FEAST OF THE HOLY NATIVITY AND THE THEOPHANY
OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto, the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was celebrated with the Morning Service and an Episcopal Divine Liturgy.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated, and the homilist for the feast was delivered by His Eminence Archbishop Papken Tcharian, Prelate of the @armenianprelacyofcanada. Serving at the Holy Altar were the Church’s clergy, deacons, and acolytes, while the liturgical hymns were sung by the “Zareh Aznavorian” Choir under the direction of Ms. Anoush Galsdian.
The sacred service took place with over 1000 faithful in attendance. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Blessing of Water ceremony was conducted with holy chrism, in remembrance of the Holy Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ. The godfathers of the Blessing of Water were Hovhannes Bebedjian, Shant Telian, and Yeremia Kevorkian.
Present also at the Divine Liturgy were the Director of Christian Education of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada Very Rev. Fr. Hagop Yacoubian; the Chair of the National Executive Council of the Prelacy Ms. Zovig Terzian; as well as representatives and delegates of the church’s National Executive Council.
Also, in attendance were the parish priest of the Armenian Catholic Community of Toronto, Rev. Fr. Haig Shahinian and elected officials, including Ontario’s Minister of Energy and Mines, the Honorable Stephen Lecce (@slecce) and Members of Provincial Parliament Aris Babikian (@arisbabikian) and Jonathan Tsao (@jonathan_tsao)
At the conclusion of the service, each elected official conveyed their heartfelt messages and extended their warm holiday tidings to the Armenian Community of Toronto on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of our Lord.
May the divine light of the Holy Nativity and Theophany always illuminate our souls, strengthen our faith, and guide our communal and national life toward the path of love, peace, and spiritual renewal.
