The fundamental mission of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada remains to spiritually nourish the faithful, with the foremost responsibility of preaching the Fatherhood of God, the Salvation of men through the Holy Cross of our Lord, and the establishment of the “Kingdom of God.”
While our mission is as old as the Christian Church, it remains as new as the needs of tomorrow’s generation. The Prelacy has served and will continue to serve the spiritual, educational, cultural, and social needs of our communities throughout Canada, remaining fiercely devoted to the betterment of our nation.
To bridge our timeless faith with contemporary intellectual rigour, we are proud to offer our cornerstone Academic Studies & Theology Programs:
• Tyndale University Partnership: In the winter of 2026, the Prelacy has formally launched the Armenian Theological Studies Program at Tyndale University in Toronto. This academic program provides an in-depth examination of the Armenian Apostolic Church, covering its historic origins, doctrinal evolution, primary theological texts, and cultural impact.
• Armenian Apostolic Church Theology Course: The Prelacy offers systematic and biblical theology courses directed to young adults and parish members. This program explores Orthodox teachings, beautifully integrating spiritual identity with rigorous theological research.
Following the successful inaugural course in the winter of 2026, which examined the history of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the second course scheduled for winter 2027 will focus on the rich and distinctive tradition of Armenian Christian worship. Individuals interested in the program are welcome to apply to Tyndale University.
The Armenian Prelacy of Canada offers systematic and biblical theology courses in collaboration with Tyndale University. This program provides an opportunity to explore Orthodox Christian teachings while integrating Armenian spiritual identity with rigorous theological research.
